Policies and Prohibited Items
In conjunction with the PGA TOUR, we ask that you take a moment to review the tournament policies and list of prohibited items before attending the PURE Insurance Championship. The safety and enjoyment of all players, volunteers, spectators, and staff is our highest priority. We encourage everyone to remain aware of their surroundings while visiting the tournament. If you observe any unusual or suspicious activity, please notify a law enforcement officer, security personnel, or a tournament official immediately. Please remember the simple message: “See something, say something.” To help ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, we appreciate your cooperation in following all standard tournament policies:
BAG POLICY
Bags larger than a small purse (6 x 6) including carrying cases, backpacks, camera bags or chair bags are prohibited. (Click here for more information.) Approved bags include: clear bags smaller than 12 x 6 x 12, 1-gallon plastic freezer bags, medically necessary bags and diaper bags. (Click here for the PGA TOUR Bag Policy.)
SPECTATOR MOBILE DEVICE POLICY
- Mobile devices must be set to silent at all times. Flash photography is not permitted.
- Mobile devices may be used to capture video, audio, and photos (content) in all areas throughout tournament week.
- Content may be used for personal purposes (e.g., personal social media); commercial use is prohibited.
- No live streaming or real-time coverage (e.g., shot-by-shot coverage) is permitted.
- Data use (e.g., texting) is permitted in all areas throughout tournament week.
- Phone calls are allowed. Please be mindful of your surroundings.
- Please be respectful of play and do not interfere with players, caddies, or media.
- All posted signage and instructions from tournament staff must be followed.
- Failure to comply with this policy may result in removal from the tournament grounds.
FOOD AND BEVERAGE
No outside food or beverage is permitted upon admittance except for infant needs.
INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY
Observe the electronic scoreboards throughout the golf course for “WEATHER WARNING” signs that will appear prior to inclement weather moving into the area. When the signs appear spectators are advised to take precautions PRIOR to play being suspended. If the siren sounds, seek shelter immediately. In the event of inclement weather, avoid the following: Open Areas – Hilltops/high places – Isolated Trees – Golf Carts – Wire Fences
PROHIBITED ITEMS
Cameras – Still cameras are only permitted during practice rounds and are NOT allowed Friday – Sunday. Video equipment is strictly prohibited at all times.
The following items are prohibited on the course ALL week. Prohibited bags of any kind cannot be left at security checkpoints and will be required to be returned to your vehicle.
- No bags larger than a small purse 6 x 6 including carrying cases, backpacks, camera bags or chair bags
- No clear plastic, vinyl, or other carry items larger than 12 x 6 x 12
- No Plastic, Metal, or Glass Cups, Cans or Containers of any kind except for medical or infant needs
- No computers or laptops
- No fireworks or laser pointers
- No lawn or oversize chairs or bicycles
- No seat cushions in a carrying case or that have pockets or compartments
- No pets, except for service animals
- No knives, firearms or weapons of any nature
- No cameras (During Competition Rounds)
- No beverages (patrons may not bring in or exit with beverages) or coolers
- No radios or TVs
- No posters, signs or banners
All items are subject to search. You will be asked to return all unauthorized items to your car before you are allowed to board shuttles. Tournament does not provide a “check” facility, so attendees are urged not to bring restricted items. For Security purposes, you hereby consent to the reasonable inspection of your person and property before entering the tournament, which may include metal detection.
